If you have a turbo or compressor mounted on your BMW M50 or M52 then this gasket is a great choice if you want to relieve the stress that arises. The spacer is made of 0.8 mm thick stainless steel and is used to reduce the compression ratio of the engine to give a higher power output.

The spacer is mounted between the two factory-mounted head gaskets and reduces the compression ratio to approximately 8.5: 1 depending on the motor and the planning of the cylinder head surface and the block surface.
