ASS Engine mounts BMW E36 / E46 – Ford Barra

Description

Engine mounts for BMW E36 and also E46 for Ford’s straight 6-cyl Barra engine with rear-mounted oil pan (model year 2002-2016).

Very stable and high-quality mounts with 100% fitment and which can withstand a lot of strain.

This engine is large and requires a larger hole to be made in the torpedo plate / gearbox tunnel.
You also need to make a recess in the front beam, see the instructions. However, there is a ready-made welding plate that you can buy with advantage for this (see product AS-001017-02).

In the mounting plates for the block there are two sets of holes, you can thus adjust the height of the engine by 10 mm. However, the lower position requires some modification of the oil pan as it otherwise gets in the way of the steering gear.

The mounts are equipped with stable rubber bushings that hold the engine in place.

Made of 5 mm high-strength steel sheet which is Zinc-iron chromated and black-passivated.

A set of mounts consists of: Mounts incl. bushings and all screws / nuts needed for mounting in beam and engine.
