ASS Gearbox beam Volvo 240 – GM 4L60 / T56 and more.

Bolt on gearbox beam for 240, fits many of GM’s automatic and manual gearboxes, e.g. 4L60, T56-T5 together with LS engine and our engine mounts (AS-001019-01).
The beam has several attachment holes to the body and can also be turned 180 degrees and therefore has almost stepless possibilities to fit lengthwise.
Strong and slim design that provides good space for the exhaust system.
Depending on which gearbox you choose, you may have to knock and possibly make any withdrawal in the gearbox tunnel.
However, the beam does not fit the large 4L80 transmission.
The attachment on that gearbox ends up too far back and you will have to cut out a lot in the tunnel in order for it to fit at all.
The beam is made to mate with the standard gearbox mount / gearbox rubber example shown in the manual.
Dimensions of the gearbox rubber should be approx. 46 mm high and c-c threaded holes approx. 38 mm.
Check the height of your gearbox between the center of the output shaft and the underside of the rubber bushing.
It should be approx. 116 mm for it to fit well in height with this beam.

They are made of 4 mm high-strength steel sheet and are zinc-iron chromated and black-passivated.
A set consists of: bracket incl. all screws needed for assembly in beam and body.
