Description

Engine mounts BMW E36 / E46 – M50 / M52 / M54 – 20 degree tilt

Replaces original engine mounts for BMW E36 / E46 with M50 / M52 / M54 engines. The engine is placed at the same depth and height, measured from the front beam up to the center crankshaft, as original but gets a 20 degree tilt instead of 30 degrees which is original. It is the same tilt as the M20 and the diesels have.

Developed for LHD – Left-hand drive cars.

Equipped with different hole patterns against engine blocks to fit both E36 and E46.

Very stable mounts that fit perfectly and can withstand really hard grips. No risk of losing the engine as on the original mounts as the aluminum breaks easily or the rubber cushion splits.

The engine mount on the exhaust side is designed low, and is close to the front beam to create as much space as possible upwards for a manifold / turbo to fit.

Bracket for the fluid container to the power steering is included.

Made of 5 mm high-strength steel sheet and galvanized in matt black paint.

A stable rubber bushing keeps the engine in place.

Mounting:

These mounts completely replace original mounts. Developed for LHD.
The engine is placed at the same depth and height, measured from the front beam up to the center crankshaft, as original but gets a 20 degree tilt instead of 30 degrees which is original. It is the same tilt as the M20 and the diesel cars have.

The brackets in the beam are screwed together with M14 bolt from joint to link arm and M10 screw + nut.
The bracket for the reservoir for the servo oil is also included.

Things to keep in mind when changing engine tilt:

We recommend that you adapt the oil pan and pickup to the oil pump for the changed tilt of 10°, however, many have tried to drive with original unchanged oil pan without problems.
Original intake will a bit too close to the brake servo.
The gearbox will also tilt 10°, either you change to an equivalent gearbox from a diesel or you have to rebuild the gearbox brackets and console / arm for the gear lever.
