Description
KLR T3 Has more lift than T2 and gives a little rough idle with LH2.4
Fits engines with slightly higher power and modified injectors, preferably programmable (Or 2xWeber/Fajs if it is a naturally aspirated engine)
The camshafts are ground on new blanks (we do not need any old camshafts in exchange)
Major on chorus 280 degrees
Cam lift: 12,15 mm
Ridge angle 112
TDC lift approx. 2,5-2,7
Valve clearance: 0,35mm
Conduit grooves on the camshaft: Yes
Is a lasch cap needed: Yes, 3mm thick is recommended
TDC lift is specified by valve clearance and is set as follows.
Set the engine with the piston in the top position (exhaust is closing and intake is opening).
The intake valve should then open the specified value.
The value can be adjusted slightly during a test run for best results.
Adjustable cam gear facilitates optimization of this.
Adjust valve clearance
Tip: Be careful not to break the camshaft when installing/dismantling, as this could cause the axial bearing at the rear edge to break, applies to all sharper camshafts.
